Film Studio Air Quality Restoration

A prominent film studio recently faced a serious indoor environmental issue. Mould growth had developed across the ceiling, electrical cables, and fixtures, accompanied by a strong malodour. The root cause was traced to excess humidity linked to the building’s HVAC system, which had created conditions for microbial contamination to thrive.

Independent air testing confirmed elevated microbial loads within the habitable space. To ensure the remediation was carried out to the highest industry benchmark, Biodec Pty Ltd was engaged to perform works in accordance with IICRC S520 mould remediation standards.

Our remediation program included:

• Surface HEPA vacuuming and detailed surface cleaning to remove mould spores and particulates from accessible areas.
• Application of antimicrobial solution via fogging, allowing treatment of concealed or hard-to-reach locations.
• Deployment of air filtration devices (HEPA-equipped) to maintain safe air quality throughout the remediation process.
• Careful removal of all visible mould growth, ensuring both aesthetic and hygienic restoration.
